The SPLA has admitted that it lost its base to forces loyal to David Yau Yau in Boma area of Pibor County, Jonglei state.
On Monday, the forces who call themselves South Sudan Defense Alliance (SSDA) announced that they are in control of the area following an offensive on an SPLA garrison.
On a separate development, Colonel Aguer said more than 80 SPLA soldiers who deserted the army in Jonglei state have been arrested in Kapoeta Town, Eastern Equatoria State.
Colonel Aguer dismissed rumors that David Yau Yau has a militia base in Eastern Equatoria state.

Police are investigating whether a woman, found dead under a car in Juba this morning, had been murdered in a nearby bar. The woman’s body was found in the Jabarona area this morning, lying under a damaged vehicle. An Eyewitness told Eye Radio that the middle-aged woman died in one of the local bars. A Malakia police officer, Second Lieutenant Victoria Konga also confirmed the incident to Eye radio. The motive behind the killing of the lady is still unknown.
