The SPLM in Opposition will send 23 Generals to Juba next week as part Joint Integrated Police, an official has said.

According to security arrangements under the peace agreement, there are about 1,370 troops that should arrive in Juba before the return of Dr Riek Machar.

Deputy military spokesman Dickson Gatluak says the rest of their forces will remain in their respective places as they await transport to Juba later with their weapons.

In a separate development, Maj Gatluak says the group is looking for other ways to transport its forces to Juba, without the support of the Troika member countries.

The Troika countries say they will not transport the SPLM in Opposition forces to Juba with heavy weapons.

Maj Gatluak said the leadership of the SPLM IO is trying to get help from other countries to transport their troops to Juba.

However, he declined to reveal the countries that the SPLM IO is requesting to help in transporting its troops to the capital.
