More that 50 houses were destroyed yesterday by a strong windstorm in Kodok in Fashoda County of Upper Nile. Two people were wounded in the storm. The county press secretary, Muthour el Kher said that the windstorm was accompanied by heavy downpour. Muthour added the county authorities have appealed for assistance from the state government and NGOs. He said that some people in the county are homeless due to the windstorm.
