Yei Joint Stars FC have secured their first victory in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers after defeating Denden FC 3-0 in their Group A encounter.

Poni Esther Wani opened the scoring for the South Sudanese side before Aluka Grace doubled the lead.

Grace completed her brace with a second goal to seal a convincing win for Yei Joint Stars.

The victory gives the South Sudanese side an important boost as they continue their campaign to advance from Group A.

Speaking after the match, Yei Joint Stars head coach welcomed the result, describing it as a good achievement for the team.
